Light: An Incursion For Trophy Dark
A downloadable Incursion
Casting bright on crystal sands,
A sun which never sets.
This prison kept for just one man
Whose power proved a threat.
Secrets kept most veiled,
And mem’ries split like light
Cast by sides of one crack’d prism;
This confusion binds his might.
His keep is but a cell, not grave,
For death has stayed its hand.
A favor’s fortune the sorc’ror pays
When eight winds scour the land.

In Light, a group of doomed treasure hunters will explore the Everlit Sands, a magical desert serving as the prison for an immensely powerful sorcerer. One powerful enough to satisfy the needs that drive each treasure hunter, if only they can free him
However, they must first contest with this magical desert that, most certainly, does not want them there

Those new to Trophy Dark will find Light to be a delightful introduction to this play-to-lose system, as Natalie has put guidance throughout the scenario: an easy-to-follow tiered systems of conditions to dispense and make player-characters' lives worse, framed scenes with plenty of questions designed to invite the table to share world-building duties, and frequent "Running This Scene" instructions to set a GM on the right path.
Trophy Dark's formal ring structure still informs the scenario, but its formal structure has been replaced by a format more familiar to those coming from other systems: box text to be read aloud, advice text for the GM, and even the occasional media touchstone to help everyone visualize things in play.
It's a crystal and rainbow-colored journey into peril. Who can resist?
